About M.I.K
The school is proudly owned and founded by Professor John Bukenya, a respected lecturer at Makerere University, and Mummy Ritah Bukenya, a devoted educationist and mentor. Their vision is to create a nurturing learning environment that produces disciplined, knowledgeable, and God-fearing leaders of tomorrow.

Dear Parents, Students, Staff, and Friends of Makerere Intellectuals Kampala (Kasawo campus),
I warmly welcome you to the Year 2025! To God be the glory for granting us the gift of life, knowledge, and purpose as we continue to pursue excellence at M.I.K.
M.I.K stands as a growing center of intellectual formation, offering both O-Level and A-Level education in the Sciences and Arts. Our vision is rooted in developing disciplined, God-fearing, and innovative students who are ready to serve Uganda and the world.
As we begin this new academic year, our focus is firmly set on academic excellence, holistic growth, and infrastructure development. We are committed to producing outstanding candidate students who not only excel in national examinations but also step into the world equipped with integrity, knowledge, and practical skills.
In 2025, our academic programs will continue to be engaging, competitive, and tailored to meet the evolving needs of our learners. We are working on strengthening our Science and ICT laboratories, expanding our library resources, and integrating technology into teaching and learning. These investments are aimed at ensuring that our students compete favorably both nationally and globally.
Beyond academics, we remain committed to character formation and co-curricular activities, providing opportunities for sports, leadership, music, debates, and community service. We believe that education is not only about passing exams but about raising balanced individuals who will be pillars of society.
As we look to the future, our development agenda includes new facilities to improve student life and learning, improved systems for better service delivery, and innovative approaches that prepare learners for the modern world. Together with the support of parents, staff, alumni, and well-wishers, M.I.K will continue to grow stronger.
To our candidate students (S.4 & S.6), I urge you to remain focused, disciplined, and prayerful. The journey may be demanding, but with determination, guidance, and God’s help, success is certain. You carry the mantle of M.I.K’s excellence, and we trust that you will raise our flag high.
